‘Opiate’ refers to any drug that is a derivative of the poppy plant. The list of opiates include but is not limited to: heroin, morphine, codeine, and oxycodone. While it’s the most common drug test for heroin, the opiate urine test can also successfully screen for those other substances as well. Opiates are highly addictive and dangerous, contributing to thousands of deaths each year, and has been known to have extremely negative long term health effects.

Opiates can appear in urine as little as an hour after use, depending on the type of opiate used. They generally stay in the user’s system from 2-4 days depending on the individual. The chart below will give you more detailed detection periods for opiates.

Directions for Use
TestSure’s heroin drug test is very simple to use. Simply remove the cap of the applicator and either hold the strip end into the urine stream for a couple of seconds or dip the applicator into a cup filled with the subject’s urine. Replace the cap and lay on a flat hard surface, and read the results after 3-8 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
The chart shows how to read the test results. A positive test result means that the drug is present in the urine. A negative test result means that no quantity of opiates above 2,000 ng/ml was found in the urine sample.
