This 5 in 1 aquarium test kit includes 50 test strips that measure 5 of the most important aquarium conditions. Ideal levels will vary depending on the type of aquarium you have and the types of fish that you have in the tank. Be sure to do research on your species of fish to determine the ideal aquarium ph levels and General Hardness.

The ideal pH level for fish will differ depending the species you have, but in all cases it’s important that you maintain a consistent pH level in your aquarium. Be sure to test regularly to ensure ph levels are the same.

One of the most important maintenance practices for your aquarium is ensuring that ammonia is being broken down into Nitrites, and then again to Nitrates. Your fish can’t survive without the Nitrogen cycle, so it’s important that Nitrite levels are at 0 and your Nitrate levels are low.

This measures carbonate hardness, or the amount of carbonate in water. This determines the buffering capacity of water. Fish don’t do well in environments with high carbonate levels, so keeping levels below 80ppm is recommended.

General Hardness

This measures the overall hardness of the water, or pH. Every fish varies in the pH level they prefer, so be sure to research the types of fish you have to determine ideal levels.

Test Sure recommends that you test your water regularly to monitor the water properly. pH, Nitrite, and Carbonate levels can change quickly, so you should at least test the water every few days. We provide 50 aquarium test strips per bottle so you can test regularly. Also, test water samples from different parts of the tank, as levels can vary depending on depth.
